The ClayBusters
Youth Shooting Team

Thanks!!

We want to thank all the shooters and companies who have supported us financially.  We have several fund raising shoots each year and raffle several shotguns and the shooters of our area have been fantastic with their generosity. All the money raised goes to pay entry fees and expenses for the kids.
Youth Shooters Wanted

If you or anyone you know would like to join the ClayBusters SCTP team please let us know. We are excited about all the new kids we have on our  team this year. So far we have 8 or 9 new shooters and are practicing most Sunday afternoons at 3:00 at Elbert Gun Club. Give us a call or just come out to the club on Sunday.

The ClayBusters is a
Youth Shooting Team Based in Elberton, GA
We started shooting SCTP in 2008 and our kids are now competing in Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays Tournaments around the Southeast.

Our Goals for this team are:

1. To bring more kids into the sport  and help them become safe responsible shooters. These kids are the future of our sport and without them it will not grow.
2. To develop in these young people a love for the shooting sports that they will continue for the rest of their lives.
3. Teach them the values of Ethics, Sportsmanship, Respect, Teamwork, Focus, Commitment, and Dedication that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.
4. Pursue excellence through competition, and continue to progress in sporting clays to be in a position to qualify for college scholarships.

ClayBusters Loss, Heavens Gain

It's with heavy hearts that we have to announce the loss of our friend and teammate Aaron Powell. While most of the team was in Nashville competing in the Tennessee State Shoot, the Powell's were at home preparing for a family vacation. Aaron died in an automobile accident on his way home from work on Friday June 25th. The service celebrating Aaron's life was held on June 29th and he was laid to rest on the family farm.

Aaron was a fine shot and loved competing with the team. He always wanted to do his best and constantly worked hard to improve. We will all remember him as a loyal friend, a dedicated teammate, and a loving son and brother.
